The magical world of Charlie Bucket and Mr Willy Wonka has been transformed into a West End musical, directed by none other than Sam Mendes.

People all over the country have been patiently waiting for Charlie and The Chocolate Factory to be transformed into a hit West End musical, but now they needn’t wait any longer.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory musical is full if chocolate surprises, a chocolate garden, an army of squirrels, but Charlie and The Chocolate Factory wouldn’t be the same without the Oompa Loompas, which have to be seen to be believed.

The West End musical follows the same theme as the world famous film. Mr Willy Wonka wants to open his chocolate factory up to five lucky children and their parents. Mr Willy Wonka devises a plan to hide five golden tickets within bars of his world famous chocolate.

The search for the five golden tickets was furious, fast paced and fortunate for the unsuspecting Charlie Bucket. A child who managed to claim the fifth and final golden ticket, which granted him access to Mr Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Charlie decides to take his Grandpa Joe on a journey filled with magic, surprise and adventure.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory musical features some of London’s most loved West End performers including Douglas Hodge, Nigel Planer, Clive Carter, Paul J Medford and Billy Boyle just to name a few.

The magical hit West End musical is currently showing at the Drury Lane Theatre Royal, and set to show up until Wednesday 12th November 2014.

The nearest London Underground Station is Covent Garden, which is approximately 5 minutes walk to the theatre. Musical run time is approximately two and a half hours. Matinee performances run on Wednesday and Saturday at 2:30pm and evening performances run Monday to Saturday at 7:30pm.
